According to European legislation, the return of food and perishable goods is generally excluded from the right of withdrawal for online or distance purchases, as they are considered perishable or products that can spoil quickly. This is stipulated in Directive 2011/83/EU (Article 16).
However, if the product is defective or does not conform to the order, the consumer has the right to return it or seek compensation under Directive 1999/44/EC or Regulation (EU) 2019/771.
